During his career, Richard has gained international experience working for some of the most respected names in golf. His previous roles include Director of Instruction at The Olympic Club, Senior Instructor for the Butch Harmon School of Golf, Lead Coach for the Chinese Olympic Team and Director of Instruction for the St. Andrews Links Trust.
A member of both the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland and The PGA of America, Richard was awarded Advanced Status in recognition of his work with the Chinese Olympic Team. More recently Richard has volunteered as Assistant Coach with the Stanford Women’s Golf Team, helping the team win the NCAA Division 1 Championship in both the 2021-22 and 2023-24 seasons.
Greg Paterson is our most recent addition to the team, moving to Stanford after completing 10 successful years with St. Andrews Links, otherwise known as the “Home of Golf.” Born and raised in Scotland Greg was a well-known figure in world amateur golf, representing Scotland in some of the most prestigious world golf events. He is probably best known for reaching the semi-final of the 2011 British Amateur Championship.
During his professional career, Greg has become highly regarded within the industry for his expertise in coaching and custom fitting and has worked with some of Scotland’s best players. A member of both the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland and the PGA of America, Greg has been awarded the status of Advanced Professional thanks to his passion for helping players achieve their goals.
